The first month of 2010 is almost over. How are you doing on those New Year’s resolutions. I am starting off pretty good on mine, now I am praying for some help to keep me going strong throughout the year.

 

Speaking of going strong: CWF is not only starting off 2010 with a bang, it finished out 2009 that way. In December, with the full support of the congregation, we bought Christmas presents for five children, helped three families with gift cards and donated a small amount to Roger’s help fund. January has us collecting funds to buy blankets. These blankets are sent to areas in need, such as Haiti. Five dollars will buy one blanket. Consider giving a check or cash to CWF to help in this endeavor.

 

Also, mark on your calendar March 6. This is the day chosen to do the Annual Women’s Luncheon here at the church. Judith Ann and her committee are already planning lots of fun things around a fun theme. They set this date to hopefully get the snowbirds involved as well as all the women of the church and guests!

 

The CWF Hall group will meet Monday, February 8 at 11:30 for their meeting and pot-luck social. All women are invited to join this group of women for food and fellowship.

 

As I write this newsletter, I can’t help but think and pray for Jan Pooley. She is in Honduras with a regional church group. As you are in prayer this week, remember Jan and her group.  I can’t wait to see pictures and hear about her exciting trip.
